I woke up at 7:10 am to my breakfast tray being delivered. My whole day got thrown off as staff had an emergency they had to deal with. I felt bad cause I was kind of crabby cause my whole day was thrown off and I didn't have my pills when my breakfast came and it took 45 minutes to get them so my food was cold. All I kept thinking is this day has to get better then I reminded myself "Hairball" the band was making an appearance for a meet and greet. The next thing I know the activities lady came to tell me they were coming a hour earlier then our calendar said. She gave me a ride to the chapel so I would be there when they showed up. They played music for us for a hour it was simply an amazing experience. The turnout for it was pretty great I was actually surprised at how many people attended it. They took pictures with those of us that wanted pictures and of course I had a picture with them. My brother loves "Hairball" so getting a picture meant the world to me. They did tell us there is a wheelchair area at their concerts that maybe some of us could go sometime when they come back. Some of the residents that attended would never be able to go but there is a few of us that could go. It was the best Saturday I have had in a long time it is usually the most uneventful day at the home. I sat between Lori and Grace they were both good at communicating and were so loving. I love meeting new oldies I hope I can help them as much as they help me. We are all here for different reasons but we are on this journey together for a reason. Some days it's hard for me to understand my journey and how I ended up here at 47 years old. I just know God has a plan for me and right now he needs me to keep Rollin with my oldies so that's just what I will do!
