Today has been a good day I had my nurse friend as my nurse and Carol was my CNA they are so good at what they do. They make the days seem brighter I love when In am lucky enough to have them on my side of the building! I spent my morning relaxing in my room and waiting on lunch. To my surprise my mom showed up she picked up some Christmas leggings for me on marketplace. She brought them along with some other surprises. She had a red hat and red hat t-shirt so I can join the red hat group here. She also had a head to put one of my wigs on and a cap you wear to cover your hair so it doesn't show with the wig on. By the time my mom left it was almost lunch time and church shortly after. I went to church and I sat between Fred and Susan. Susan and I visited for 20 minutes before church started she is always so fun to see she is on the 4th floor and I am on the 2nd so church and Bible study are the only time I see her. During church Susan reached out and rubbed my arm and said she needed the restroom so I started to roll in my wheelchair to staff to tell them and they took her out of church. Having her leave sucked but I know what it's like to have to leave things to use the restroom! After church I came back to my room and watched the Kansas City Chiefs game cause that is my team, not sure how they won but they did. Then I was downloading pictures when there was a knock on my door to my surprise it was one of my nurses from the hospital when I coded. It is simply amazing how some of these nurses care enough to want to see how some of their patients are doing long after taking care of us. I was thankful for being able to roll with my oldies for a bit today.I will be Rollin with my oldies tomorrow at Bible study. I am also thankful my friend nurse pulled a double so she was here all day. I have lots I am thankful for as we get so close to Thanksgiving!
